What We Collect
WordSpark collects only what's needed to provide your daily word experience:
- Apple ID identifier — used solely for authentication. We never see your email or name unless you choose to share it.
- Quiz results and streaks — stored to track your progress and sync across devices.
- Language preference — your selected language for daily words.
- Go Deeper conversations — the text you send when exploring a word is processed to generate a response.
What We Don't Collect
- No email address required
- No location data
- No contacts or social graph
- No advertising identifiers
- No voice recordings
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to power your word-learning experience. We never sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Third-Party Services
WordSpark uses the following services to provide its features:
- AI services — process your Go Deeper questions and generate daily word content. Data is sent securely and not retained beyond the request.
- Cloud infrastructure — stores account and progress data on encrypted infrastructure in the US.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple for authentication and subscription management. On-device processing for hints and offline features never leaves your device.
Data Storage
Account data is stored in encrypted databases. On-device features (smart hints, mnemonics, offline exploration) process data locally and never transmit it.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Profile > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, quiz history, streak, saved words, and all personal data. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
